All vacation rentals at Los Sueños are designed to meet the discerning taste of seasoned travelers from North America and Europe. In addition to the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and fitness facility in your village or community, vacation rental guests also have complimentary access to the Resort’s private Beach Club, which features an exclusive white sand beach with shade palapas, an immense free-form swimming pool with a swim-up bar, jacuzzi, lounge chairs, barbeque area, shower and changing facilities. Delivery from the Marina Village delicatessen and the Marriott Hotel restaurants is offered year-round; during the high season (December to April) a snack bar is also available onsite at the beach club.

Note: The Los Suenos Resort requires guests to be attired with proper swim wear when using the beach club and any of the swimming pools within the resort. While on the La Iguana golf course all guests are required to wear collared shirts and golf shoes.

Traveling from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), near the capital city of San José, involves a scenic two-hour drive. There is also an option to hop on a commuter flight which flies from San Jose to the town of Quepos that departs from the airfield next to the international airport. Our concierge can assist you in arranging either car rental or private airport transfers.

Travel Tips for Vacation Rental Guests at the Los Suenos Resort

Despite being an upscale luxury resort the atmosphere in Los Suenos is typically casual. We recommend that you pack light and casual clothes, a pair of beach sandals and a pair of sturdy walking shoes that are airy and comfortable for going on activities or adventure tours. Mosquito repellant is a must-have if you plan on joining any wildlife or National Park tours. You will also need sunglasses, a hat and plenty of sunscreen.

At Los Sueños it is safe to drink water straight from the tap, which originates from a system of aquifers located in the resort's private rainforest reserve. Outside the resort however, we recommend drinking bottled water or canned beverages only, even though the national water supply is supposed to be potable. Bottled water of local brands is widely available; imported brand such as Evian is available in good restaurants and grocery stores.

Just outside the Resort within a short walking distance from your vacation home there are small shops and restaurants lining the road to the beach. A 5-minute drive away at the Herradura Plaza are a nice supermarket (which by the way offers delivery service) shops and more restaurants, including a Steak and Grill, a Japanese restaurant, a Burger King and a KFC. And 15 minutes down the main coastal road is Jaco beach, where there is an abundance of food, shopping and recreation amenities. Closer to home, Gourmet Imports at the resort’s Marina Village has a selection of fine meats and cheeses. There is also a delicatessen in the Marina Village.

The best way to get around the resort is by golf cart which guests can rent from one of two onsite suppliers. However, depending on which community you are staying in, a car may be necessary due to the road’s steep grade; like in the Vista Tres Bahias community for instance.

For your peace of mind, the resort has an onsite Clinic that is equipped with emergency stabilization equipment and is staffed by bilingual medical personnel who are on call 24 hours a day. If the case is serious, the Clinic will arrange transfer service via modern ambulance or airlift to the renowned CIMA Hospital, a world-class hospital in San José.
