The Central Pacific region offers endless opportunities for vacationers to experience Costa Rica at its best. Gorgeous sunsets, rugged rain forests, world-class sport fishing facilities, soft sandy beaches and waves that break high and low for surfers of all abilities. Located at the heart of the central Pacific region is the world famous resort town of Jaco, a magnet for sport fishermen, surfers, birdwatchers and anyone in search of a good time, from vacationing families and backpackers to wedding couples and honeymooners.

Near to Jaco are other major tourist attractions such as Carara National Park, Manuel Antonio, Hermosa Beach and the world renowned Los Suenos marina and golf course. The national parks in the central Pacific region are popular destinations for extreme sports athletes, wildlife enthusiasts as well as casual sightseers. For naturalists and birdwatchers especially, Costa Rica is well known worldwide as a haven of incredible bio-diversity and endemic wildlife.
